Did you know that Proverbs 31 was written from a mother to her son and it is outlining what the son should look for in the SINGLE woman who would be come his wife? No pressure single women! Maybe we should pray that the single men out there don’t read this passage???
Just joking, in our own strength there is no way that any of us can measure up to this standard, hence why the woman in Proverbs 31 is referred to as being rare like rubies!
If we can’t live to this standard by our own strength, how do we? Through Christ! If we live in Christ and with the Holy Spirit working in our lives we can become more like a Proverbs 31 woman every day.
- is a woman of faith which in turn makes her resilient
- is a woman who loves and is loved
- is a woman of worth
- is full of integrity
- displays compassion
- has purpose and is industrious
- is physically and emotionally well
- is a woman who has self control and disciple
- has dignity and humility
I am going to call on the Holy Spirit to guide me into the ways of this woman, not just for my future husbands sake but for the sake of Christ who is returning like a bridegroom for his bride.
‘Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says “oh crap she’s up!”‘
