Recently my flatmate read an article about growing vegetables from the remnants of store bought vegetables and thought she would give it a go. Now we don’t have a very big garden so the window sill in the kitchen seemed like a good place to try it out. Much to my surprise the bok choy sprouted in less than a week! It will be interesting to see what it tastes like. The carrot still looks like the end of a carrot and I’m more skeptical that it will sprout…however I will withhold judgement and see what happens. I wonder how many times you can grow vegetables from the same left over “ends”?
